Call for Papers: 2nd International Conference on AI in Tourism and Hospitality
We are pleased to announce the 2nd International Conference on:
“Reimagining Tourism and Hospitality Education Through Artificial Intelligence: Building Future-Ready Skills, Innovation Capacity, and Ethical Human-Centered Practice”.
Hosted by Madda Walabu University (MWU), the event will take place from June 15–17, 2026, in Bale Robe, Ethiopia.
Conference Overview
This conference provides a platform for advancing interdisciplinary dialogue and evidence-based solutions for AI-driven tourism and hospitality education. It seeks to bridge the gap between academia, industry, and policy by fostering collaboration among scholars and practitioners.
Core Themes:
- Theme 1: AI-Driven Shift in Tourism and Hospitality Education (adaptive learning, AR/VR, academic integrity)
- Theme 2: Academic Institutions’ Readiness for an AI-Augmented Workforce
- Theme 3: Smart Professionals for the Tourism & Hospitality Industry (smart hotels, digital ecosystems)
- Theme 4: Policy, Leadership, and Institutional Innovation in the AI Revolution
Submission Guidelines:
We warmly invite submissions of original research, case studies, and posters.

- Abstracts: 250–300 words
- Full Paper: Max. 7,000 words
- Deadline for Abstract Submission: March 30, 2026
- Notification of Acceptance: April 10, 2026
- Full Paper Submission Deadline: April 20, 2026
Participants will also have the opportunity to join an exclusive field trip to the Bale Mountains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
